As a result, the iconic chocolate bar with peanuts had a name. Being of immense popularity in America, peanuts were usually of the Virginia variety. Mr. Goodbar distinguished itself from the rest by bathing red-skinned Spanish peanuts into each batch of tangy milk chocolate. In 1995, Mr. Goodbar makers maxed out the formula by throwing more peanuts into the mix. Today the bars have a potent salty, darkly roasted peanut flavor combined with sharp, zesty fudge taste.
